LAPTOP/ NOTEBOOK
Usually called a notebook computer by manufacturers, is a battery- or AC-powered
personal computer generally smaller than a briefcase that can easily be
transported and conveniently used in temporary spaces such as on airplanes,
in libraries, temporary offices, and at meetings. A laptop typically weighs
less than 5 pounds and is 3 inches or less in thickness.

MAINFRAME
Is an industry term for a large computer, typically manufactured by a large
company such as IBM for large-scale computing purposes. Historically, a
mainframe is associated with centralized rather than distributed computing.
MICROCOMPUTER
Is a complete computer on a smaller scale and is generally a synonym for
the more common term, personal computer or PC, a computer designed for an
individual.
MINICOMPUTER
A term no longer much used, is a computer of a size intermediate between
a microcomputer and a mainframe.
The minicomputer has evolved into the "mid-range server" and is
part of a network.
MICROPROCESSOR
Is a computer processor on a micro-chip. It's sometimes called a logic chip.
It is the engine that goes into motion when you turn your computer on. A
microprocessor is designed to perform arithmetic and logic operations.
